aside from the obligatory nod to jen (hey there!), i’ll rec you a movie this time.

it’s called fish tank. it’s very british, it has gorgeous lighting and camera work, it delivers with full force, it has a jaw-dropping female lead (who was found at tilbury station, having a fight with her boyfriend!), and it has such raw immediacy.

it’s by no means an easy film to watch. it’s gritty, guys. but give it a go. what’s the worst that could happen?

jen, honey, i realise that i should be handling the situation with the class and grace you’ve been showing,

but, sadly, i do not possess any of these qualities.

so i’m going to get utterly and completely trashed.
